Giving a brief about the significant changes embraced by the Department of Pension and Pensioners Welfare (DoP&PW), he said, an arrangement was as of late made for the temporary family benefits to be endorsed promptly on receipt of guarantee for family annuity and demise authentication from the qualified relative without sitting tight for different customs or procedural prerequisites to be finished.
This arrangement is relevant in the event of death occurring during the pandemic, either in light of Covid or non-Covid cause, said Singh.
As per Rules 80 (A) of the CCS (Pension) Rule 1972, on death of the public authority worker during administration, temporary family annuity could be endorsed to the qualified individual from the family, solely after the family benefits case has been sent to the compensation and records office (PAO), an assertion gave by the staff service said.
