CBDT extends date for manual submission

CBDT extends date for manual submission of forms to enable overseas remittances

MUMBAI: The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has reported that the date for manual accommodation of Forms 15CA and 15CB has been stretched out to August 15.

According to the Income-Tax (I-T) Act, 1961, there is a prerequisite to outfit these structures electronically on the I-T entry. Structure 15CA is an affirmation made by the remitter that expense has been deducted at source on installments made to the non-occupant.

Structure 15CB is an endorsement outfitted by a contracted bookkeeper that the arrangements of the pertinent duty settlement and the I-T Act have been followed, when making the abroad installment. Approved vendors (banks) can transmit cash abroad solely after these structures have been submitted (otherwise known as transferred).

Be that as it may, citizens keep on confronting troubles in transferring these structures on the recently dispatched I-T gateway. Prior, the CBDT had allowed recording of these structures in manual configuration with approved vendors till July 15.

Inferable from proceeded with challenges, this date has been stretched out to August 15, expresses the CBDT.

An office will be given on the new e-recording entry to transfer these structures sometime in the future with the end goal of age of the Document Identification Number, adds the press note.
