
NEW DELHI: Leander Paes, victor of numerous Grand Slam titles, has said it will take some time before India can win another Olympic award in tennis.
"It will be some time before we win another decoration in tennis," said Paes, who won a bronze at Atlanta 1996, which remains India's just Olympic award in tennis.
"[It's] in light of the fact that I feel that the opposition in our game in both the men's down and the ladies' down is so furious, on the grounds that the actual wellness and the psychological sturdiness it takes, not to mention the tennis strategy, I feel it will require a significant stretch of time to assemble another Olympic hero in tennis," Paes revealed to The Week.

After the 1980 hockey gold, India stalled out mentally at three sequential releases of the Olympics. It was misery, trust, unhappiness on recurrent like clockwork - until a child called Leander Paes, depicted as the "flying hopping bean" by Andre Agassi, chose to change things.
"Truly, it is tied in with building a tennis champion. It isn't tied in with wishing a supplication and expectation somebody will come around and win it. It takes an entire lifetime, tirelessness and information and conviction and difficult work. In tennis, it will take some time," said the 44-year-old player, who has won eight copies and 10 blended pairs Grand Slam titles.
Paes is as of now holidaying in Goa and is joined by entertainer Kim Sharma, a reality affirmed by Pousada by the Beach, a café in Calangute.
