It said Subedar Chopra was met with the Arjuna Award in 2018 and Vishist Seva Medal (VSM) in 2020 for his greatness in sports. 

Chopra was brought into the world on December 24, 1997 in a group of ranchers from a town in Panipat. 

His dad Satish Kumar is a rancher and his mom Saroj Devi is a housewife, said the Army official. 

Neeraj began tossing lance when he expected to decrease weight and immediately fancied for the game, he said.
