Armenia looks for help from Russia in its border clash


Armenia asks Russia for help after border clash with Azerbaijan
MOSCOW: Armenia on Tuesday requested that Russia assist with protecting it against Azerbaijan after a boundary conflict in which it said 15 of its fighters had been killed, 12 caught, and two battle positions had been lost. 

The battling was the most exceedingly terrible since a 44-day war last year battled between ethnic Armenian powers and the Azeri armed force over the Nagorno-Karabakh area which killed no less than 6,500 individuals and finished in an unequivocal triumph for Azerbaijan.

Russia has an army installation in Armenia just as a peacekeeping power in Nagorno-Karabakh. There was no prompt reaction from Russia to the Armenian allure. 

The Azeri protection service said it had dispatched a tactical activity to react to what it called enormous scope "incitements" from the Armenian side and in an assertion accused Armenia's military-political authority. 

It said Armenian powers had shelled Azeri armed force positions with big guns and mortar shoot and that its own activity had been effective. 

"The Azerbaijan Army has functional and strategic predominance," it said in a similar assertion, saying it had designated Armenian soldiers and equipment along the line. 

"Armenian servicemen are leaving their situations in dread and frenzy. Military hardware having a place with the rival side has been annihilated."
