Fifteen injured in southwest China quake
BEIJING: Fifteen individuals were harmed when a shallow seismic tremor hit southwestern China on Sunday evening and shook the well known traveler city of Lijiang, state media said.

The shake struck on the boundary among Yunnan and Sichuan regions, as per the US Geological Survey (USGS), which put the size at 5.4 and profundity at 38 kilometers (24 miles).

State telecaster CGTN said 15 individuals were harmed, refering to the nearby tremor organization.

The China Earthquake Networks Center later estimated the extent at 5.5 with a profundity of 10 kilometers.

The focal point was 115 kilometers from Lijiang in Yunnan territory, the USGS said.

China is consistently hit by tremors, particularly in its uneven western and southwestern districts.

In September three individuals were killed and handfuls harmed when a shallow shudder hit Sichuan region, and a huge number of homes were harmed.

A 7.9-size shake in Sichuan region in 2008 remaining in excess of 80,000 individuals dead.

Among them were great many kids, killed when ineffectively developed school structures imploded, however the public authority neglected to deliver a careful number of dead as the issue took on a political aspect.
