4 bank MDs are shortlisted

Banks bureau shortlists MDs for four banks

 MUMBAI: The Banks Board Bureau, the body which chooses CEOs for monetary elements in the public area, has recognized overseeing chiefs for four moneylenders - Union Bank of India, Indian Overseas Bank, Punjab and Sind Bank and State Bank of India.

The board has shortlisted A Manimekhalai for MD and CEO of Union Bank of India, Ajay Kumar Srivastava for the place of MD and CEO of Indian Overseas Bank and Swaroop Kumar Saha for Punjab and Sind Bank. Alok Kumar Choudhary has been suggested for the place of MD in the State Bank of India. The last arrangements will be informed by the public authority in light of these proposals.

Manimekhalai has been the chief in Canara Bank since February 2019. He has been designated as replacement to Rajkiran Rai whose term as CEO closes in May 2022. Srivastava is leader overseer of Indian Overseas Bank and was allowed a two-year augmentation here in October 2020. Partha Prathim Sengupta is the current CEO of IOB and he has been surrendered an arrangement to superannuation or December 2022. S Krishnan, the CEO of Punjab and Sind Bank will likewise finish his term in May 2020.

Declaring the shortlisted applicants, the agency said that it had communications with 15 up-and-comers from different public area banks between March 5 and 6 and March 15 and 16 for the positions.
