Manika and Archana enter the WTT Star Contender medal round.


Manika-Archana pair enters medal round in WTT Star Contender

DOHA: India's Manika Batra and Archana Kamath entered the award round of the ladies' copies in the WTT Star Contender occasion subsequent to beating Soo Wai Yam Minnie and Lee Ho Ching of Hong Kong 3-1 in the quarterfinals on Tuesday.

Manika represented Germany's Xiaona Shan, positioned 26th, in the round of 32 to progress to the following round. The Indian, positioned 48th, won 7-11, 11-6, 11-7, 11-9.


Manika showed extraordinary person to return after the principal game's misfortune and retaliated with the higher-positioned German. Manika demonstrated her backbone in the fourth game as she hung on bravely to dominate the nearby fourth match.


She will next take on German Ying Han, who is positioned 17, in the pre-quarterfinals.
