
NEW YORK: Leaders of Finland and Sweden affirmed on Tuesday that the Nordic countries would together present their applications for Nato enrollment this week, and would make a trip to the US to meet with President Biden.
President Sauli Niinisto of Finland, in a discourse to Sweden's parliament, said that Finland's and Sweden's Nato participation would support the Nordic countries, which as of now "structure areas of strength for a quintet." Later, at a joint news gathering, PM Magdalena Andersson of Sweden said : "Finland and Sweden have a long joint history. We presently likewise have a common future." Niinisto and Andersson will meet together on Thursday with Biden in Washington, where they will examine their offers for Nato enrollment.
