Indian lifters are impressing during junior world championship


Indian lifters impress in junior weightlifting world championship

 NEW DELHI: Indian weightlifters - - Gyaneshwari Yadav and V Rithika - - won silver and bronze decorations, individually, in the 49 kg weight class at the IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships in Heraklion, Greece.


This has been the best exhibition ever for Indian weightlifters on the first day of the season of the competition.


"It is encouraging to take note of that main three generally speaking awards were won before by the Indian weightlifters in all releases of Junior World Weightlifting Championships - Saikhom Mirabai Chanu (bronze), Jhilli Dalabehera (bronze) and Achinta Sheuli (silver).


"While on the first day of the season of 2022 IWF Junior (Men and Women) World Weightlifting Championships, 3 awards were won by Indian weightlifters - 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze. More decorations will be supposed in days to come," Indian Weightlifting Federation president Sahdev Yadav said in a delivery.


"I might want to compliment every one of the weightlifters for putting a decent show during 2022 IWF Junior World Weightlifting Championships at Heraklion and praise the endeavors of Indian mentors who have prepared the competitors in limited capacity to focus time in the National camps," he added.
