Reliance Brands to buy 40% in Italian company's India toy manufacturing business

 NEW DELHI: Reliance Brands (RBL), the retail brand authorizing arm of Reliance Industries (RIL), is set to get 40% stake in Italy-settled Plastic Legno's toy producing business in India — Pune-based Dream Plast — for an undisclosed aggregate.


The arrangement will help Reliance Brands, which purchased British toy retailer Hamleys in 2019 for Rs 620 crore, reinforce its toy creation in the country. Aside from Hamleys, RBL claims local toy brand Rowan.


The arrangement comes against the scenery of worldwide retailers, for example, Ikea hoping to expand the obtaining of toys, but wooden ones, from India.
