 NEW DELHI: Olympic hero spear hurler Neeraj Chopra could be India's banner conveyor during the initial function of the forthcoming Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) may pick the 24-year-old Chopra to lead the country's contingent during the introduction of the 2022 CWG on July 28.

"The banner carrier might be Neeraj Chopra. We will really take a look at his accessibility for the initial function," IOA secretary general Rajeev Mehta told PTI.
