When playing Kajol's mother in Bekhudi, Tanuja felt "awkward" and said, "If I had a choice, I wouldn't have done it."


On Tanuja's 79th birthday celebration, here's glancing back when Kajol made her introduction with Bekhudi and Tanuja played her on-screen mother.

Veteran entertainer Tanuja comes from a renowned group of entertainers. Girl of Shobhna Samarth, sister to Nutan, Tanuja was known for her parts in films like Gem Cheat, Yaarana and Anubhav among numerous others. At the point when Tanuja's little girl Kajol was making her presentation in the films, Tanuja was approached to step in the job of Kajol's on-screen mother and the entertainer said that she was extremely 'hesitant' to do that job.

Coordinated by Rahul Rawail, the 1982 film had Kajol making her presentation in Hindi film and Tanuja said that everybody demanded that she play her girl's on-screen mother in the film.
