Nepal ruling coalition bags 90 seats out of 165

 

KATHMANDU: The top heads of Nepal's five-party administering alliance on Monday met at PM Sher Bahadur Deuba 's official home here to audit the overall races and examine the development of another administration.


The meeting was attended by Nepali Congress chief Deuba, leader Ram Chandra Paudel, vice-president Purna Bahadur Khadka, CPN chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal "Prachanda," vicechairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha, CPN chair Madhav Nepal, and Rastriya Janamorcha vice-chairperson Durga Paudel. Out of 165 seats in the House of Representatives, the five-party coalition has obtained 90.


During the meeting, the ruling alliance's top leaders stated that the election results have reaffirmed the alliance's necessity and relevance. The leaders of the coalition said in a statement that came out after the meeting that the results showed that it was necessary to move forward and build mutual understanding and cooperation. To meet the country's challenges, the current coalition must continue, the statement stated.


According to PTI, a senior leader of the NC and a former deputy PM, Prakash Man Singh, the meeting primarily discussed issues pertaining to the division of power and the formation of the government. With 57 seats, PM Deuba's Nepali Congress became the single largest party. CPN (Maoist Center) has won 18 seats, CPN (Bound together Communist) 10, Loktantrik SamajwadiParty four and Rastriya Janamorcha one. On November 20, elections to the House of Representatives were held to end the nation's prolonged political instability.



Nepal's Political decision Bonus said the resistance Socialist Faction of Nepal (Brought together communist Leninist) got 44 seats. The Janata Samajwadi Party, the Rastriya Swatantra Party, and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party each have seven seats. It stated that Loktantrik Samajwadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party have obtained four and three seats, respectively.
