LAHORE: Imran Khan, the former prime minister of Pakistan, claims that General Qamar Javed Bajwa, a retired Army chief, referred to him as a "playboy" during their most recent meeting before he was ousted from his constitutional position last year through a motion of no confidence.
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chairman discussed "dirty audios" that were allegedly associated with him during his conversation with journalists on Monday at his residence in Lahore.
He said, "What message we are giving to our youth through dirty audios and videos," and he indirectly attributed the recording of such audios to the powerful establishment.
Three alleged audio clips that are believed to be Khan's were recently leaked.
Rana Sanaullah, Interior Minister, asserted that these audio clips and Khan-related videos could be released in the coming days.
“In an August 2022 meeting with Gen. Bajwa, he informed me that he had audios and videos of my party members. Additionally, he mentioned that I was a "playboy." Khan said, "I told him...yes, I was (a playboy) in the past and I never claimed that I am an angel." He added that he had suspected Bajwa had decided to remove him from power.
“I found out that he was carefully playing a double game, making Shehbaz Sharif prime minister,” I said. Khan claimed that Bajwa's "set-up" in the military is still in place to prevent him from returning to power, and that Bajwa had stabbed him in the back.
Khan, 70, regretted giving Gen. Bawja an extension after being shot in the leg during a rally in Punjab province in November of last year.
"I made a terrible mistake by giving Gen. Bajwa an extension. After receiving an extension, Bajwa began to exhibit his "true color" and eventually conspired against my government over accountability, he blasted.
