I use mustard/coconut oil to cook my meals in order to lower my cholesterol and lose weight

1. How this man lost 21 kilograms in 15 months

Subhajit Goswami was devastated when he reached a staggering 100 kilograms. Not only did being overweight put him at risk for a number of health issues, but it also made him the target of harsh criticism and judgment from others. The 31-year-old made the decision then to alter his lifestyle and live a healthy life. A look at his inspiring journey is provided here.

2. The turning point When I reached 100 kilograms, the younger members of my society began referring to me as Uncle instead of Bhaiya.

I was badly affected by the change. I began experiencing chest pain caused by high cholesterol very quickly. I went to a cardiologist and was told to change my way of life. So I started getting up at 5 a.m. and used a smartwatch to walk 10,000 steps.

I walk another 5,000 steps in the evening at 7 p.m. after finishing work to de-stress.

After a long day at work, I take the evening walk to relax and maintain my mental health.

Because it has less cholesterol, I cook with mustard oil or coconut oil.

3. My diet began with my breakfast:

After 1.5 to 2 hours after breakfast, I had three idlis with sambar and a variety of fruits. For lunch, I had a small bowl of brown rice, mixed vegetable curry, fish curry, and vegetable salad. For dinner, I had three chapatis, mixed vegetable curry, and vegetable salad. I indulge in (what you eat on your cheat days): empty stomach in the morning Post-workout meal: 1 glass of warm water mixed with lemon and honey 1 teaspoon in the morning I only indulge once every three to four months. My cheat meal includes:

Homemade Pani Puri, Chicken Biryani, and Egg Rolls are all prepared in mustard oil only because it has less cholesterol. I swear by these low-calorie recipes: 4.My workout routine: Chicken soup, brown rice with soya paneer curry, vegetable salad, and I wake up at 5 a.m. and walk 10,000 steps. Additionally, after work hours, I walk 5,000 steps at 7 p.m.

5. Fitness secrets

I revealed I discovered that being honest with oneself contributes to fitness results.

How do I keep myself motivated? I stay motivated throughout the day by exercising in the morning. Reading has become a habit for me. I find that reading books and newspapers helps me stay positive.

How can you avoid losing your focus? I used to watch a lot of OTT content in one sitting, which was bad for my mental health. Then, I made the decision to stop watching OTT content and start reading books and newspapers instead.

Additionally, I organize my entire day in the morning, compiling a list of all upcoming tasks to keep me focused. When the lifestyle is in balance, focus and discipline come naturally, and results follow.

6. What aspect of being overweight is the most challenging?

I was confronted with the following issues:

Problems with one's health begin early.

shaming one's body at social events.

It becomes embarrassing to search for your favorite clothing brand's sizes when you are forced to wear oversized garments.

How do you envision yourself 10 years from now? I want to be consistent and live a healthy, disciplined life.

7. What changes have you made to your way of life?

I stopped eating street food and junk food. I only eat home-cooked meals that are cooked in mustard oil or coconut oil, and I get up at 5 a.m. and go to bed at 9 p.m.

Lessons learned from losing weight:

Only eat when you are full.

Eat and sleep on time when you wake up
