Rules to Follow for Healthy Hair

Everybody knows that bad hair days are annoying and make us feel insecure :

Taking care of one's hair is an important and healthy habit for both men and women. The problem is that hair is constantly being damaged, which causes things like frizz, dullness, thinning, dryness, and breakage. It is a fact that paying attention to potential strand stressors and having patience are necessary for maintaining healthy hair. Also, healthy hair doesn't happen overnight, but working hard to keep strong strands is worth it. Maintaining healthy hair can be simple and straightforward by making a few minor adjustments to your hair care routine. With the right hair care and a few of the suggestions below, you can make the dream of having healthy hair a reality.

Dos for healthy hair :

Wash your hair often Washing your hair often can keep your scalp and hair clean and free of grease. Shampoo your hair twice a week if you have dry hair; Shampooing your hair every other day can help if you have oily hair and a greasy scalp. Your hair will be healthier if your shampoo contains fewer preservatives, so go with gentle, natural shampoos that are suitable for your type. Also, look for products that oxygenate your scalp, get rid of residue, and improve your hair's health. A more thorough cleanse is provided by the methi, onion, bhringraj, amla, soy protein, lotus oil, and hibiscus components.

Conditioning :

your hair is a hydrating step that makes it supple and should be done after every shampoo. Conditioners have ingredients that help hair grow straight and smooth. It shields your hair from external irritants and heat styling. However, avoid applying it to your scalp; instead, only your hair's tips. Apply the conditioner evenly by combing through your hair's ends. Additionally, select organic conditioners and rinse it thoroughly after application.

Use lukewarm water instead of extremely hot water when washing your hair because extremely hot water can damage it and make it dry and lifeless. Also, you shouldn't shampoo your hair twice before conditioning it because doing so can make your hair lose its natural oils and make it grow slower.

Regularly practice Shirobhyangam :

The Ayurvedic hair oiling practice should be done at least once a week because it helps strengthen hair follicles and reduces hair loss. Apply the warm oil to the scalp, gently massage the head, and leave on for about an hour prior to your shampoo. Onion oil, bhringraj oil, methi oil, coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil, castor oil, and other similar oils are the best for healthy hair.

Use a wide-toothed comb to comb your hair because wet hair is very fragile and prone to breaking. Allow your hair to air dry before combing it with a wide-tooth comb. This kind of comb can safeguard your hair from damage.

Do trim your hair on a regular basis to avoid split ends :

Cut your hair every six to eight weeks as part of your regular routine. Split ends are more likely to appear when the hair is damaged by heat styling, pollution, smoking, stress, and other factors. Despite the fact that hair growth occurs at the scalp level, trimming your hair will not accelerate its growth. Healthy hair is maintained through regular haircuts.

Don'ts for healthy hair :

Don't brush your hair often. Although many people believe that brushing their hair often makes it healthier, the opposite is actually true. Throughout the day, combing your hair can frequently result in friction that causes additional frizziness and breakage. Combing hair once or twice a day, starting at the ends and working your way up to the roots, is sufficient.

Avoid a gap of more than three days without washing your hair :

If you don't wash your hair for more than three days, your scalp may have too much oil. Your hair follicles may become clogged as a result, resulting in peeling, itching, and redness as well as hair that is difficult to style. Additionally, no matter what brand of shampoo you use, you should only use a dime- or nickel-sized amount to clean your hair.

Avoid using conditioners that contain silicones and parabens :

Conditioners that contain silicones and parabens coat the hair for a short time, making it feel heavy. Silicones can absorb pollution from the air, which can dull hair's luster. Also, don't use a strong conditioner on your hair; Instead, apply richer hair masks and conditioners to the driest areas of the hair, such as the ends. Additionally, the conditioner can be applied all the way down to the tips of the hair.

Avoid using heating appliances when styling and blow-drying your hair :

Using heating appliances could help you achieve the same hairstyle as your favorite television celebrity. However, it is best to let your hair air dry naturally and avoid styling it with heating tools because too much heat can damage your hair.

An easy-to-make hair serum could also be used in its place. Combine 5 milliliters each of rosehip, almond, and moringa oils in 50 milliliters of rosewater. Mix it thoroughly and store it in a spray bottle before using. Finish using it within a week on dry hair or after a wash.

Avoid chemical hair treatments and hair dyes because some of them contain known allergens that can irritate the respiratory system as well as the skin and eyes.

Don't eat fatty foods :

A diet high in fatty and spicy foods could make your hair greasy. Additionally, coffee and strong tea should not be on your list because they both contain stimulants that increase the activity of the sebaceous glands, which is bad for your hair.
