The CEO of Air India urges employees to report any inappropriate behaviour on flight

Air India CEO tells staff to report any improper behaviour on aircraft

Delhi, India: Even though the matter appears to have been resolved, Air India CEO Campbell Wilson has instructed the airline's staff to immediately report any improper behavior on aircraft to authorities. He reflected on the incident and stated, "The repulsion felt by the affected passenger is totally understandable and we share her distress" in an internal communication to airline employees.

"Even though the story is more complicated than was reported, there are clearly some lessons that we can and must learn from it.

"The most important thing is that, even if we truly believe that the matter has been resolved between the parties involved, we must report it to authorities at the earliest opportunity if an incident on our aircraft involves improper behavior of such magnitude.

He stated, "The same applies to passengers deemed to meet the threshold of 'Unruly.'"

A second incident of a drunk male passenger allegedly urinating on a female passenger's blanket was reported on the Paris-Delhi sector ten days after the shocking incident on a New York-Delhi Air India flight on November 26, but officials said on Thursday that he did not face any penalties after writing an apology.

They claimed that the male passenger was apprehended after the pilot of Air India flight 142 reported the incident to Air Traffic Control (ATC) at the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport. The incident occurred on December 6 and involved Air India flight 142.
