Nothing OS 1.5 stable update is now available: What's new for the Nothing Phone 1

The Nothing Phone 1 now has new media controls, volume controls, and a camera app that looks more "refined" thanks to the Android 13-based Nothing OS 1.5 update.

Users of the Nothing Phone 1 are finally getting their hands on Android 13, after a long wait. The Nothing OS 1.5 skin atop the OS version adds a few useful tweaks to an Android experience that is otherwise completely stock. A new Nothing weather app, additional Glyph ringtones and notification sounds, and a few UI enhancements are among the update's most notable features.

Nothing claims that the Android 13 update further develops execution, saying that application stacking speeds have been helped by half. Additionally, animations for unlocking and locking the phone have been enhanced.

The camera app now has a more "refined" appearance, and there are new media controls and volume controls. The new media controls are part of Android 13's redesign, which also includes more music controls and puts album artwork in full view.

In order to better match apps and icons to the currently set wallpaper, additional color schemes have been added to improve customizability. Additionally, you can now create lockscreen shortcuts for your wallet, torch, device controls, and camera.

The following are additional changes that enhance the overall experience:

1. The new Quick Settings panel for the network makes it simple to switch data usage when using two SIM cards.

2. The camera app and Quick Settings now include a brand-new QR code scanner.

3. support for multiple languages that lets you use different languages with different apps.

4. Preview of the clipboard In the lower right-hand corner of the screen, copied text appears on the clipboard. Therefore, prior to pasting, you can edit the text directly.

5. Services in the foreground To conserve battery, close active background applications directly from the notification center.

The Nothing OS 1.5 update for the Nothing Phone 1 was initially released as an open beta in December of last year. It is based on Android 13. The update has never before been released as stable.
