WASHINGTON: As he criticized his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin for his military aggression, US President Joe Biden stated that Russia's invasion of Ukraine has been a test for the ages and the world.
"One year ago, just a few days after Vladimir Putin launched his brutal war against Ukraine, I spoke from this chamber. In his address to a joint session of the US Congress on Tuesday night, Biden described the assault as "a murderous assault, evoking images of the death and destruction Europe suffered in World War II."

"Putin's invasion has proven to be a test for all time. America's test. a worldwide test. Would we uphold the most fundamental of principles? Would we be a supporter of sovereignty? Would we uphold the right of individuals to live without tyranny? Would we be willing to defend democracy? In his second State of the Union address, Biden asked a series of questions.
