Anupam Kher remained close to Satish Kaushik's better half Shashi and their 10-year-old girl Vanshika at the late entertainer's request meet.
After suffering a heart attack in New Delhi on March 9, the actor and filmmaker Satish Kaushik passed away. At a prayer meeting on March 20 in Mumbai, his longtime friend Anupam Kher described the late actor's upbeat disposition.
Anupam was asked to speak briefly about his friend outside of Satish's Mumbai residence, where the prayer meet was held. Anupam stated that he was unsuccessful in "finding a photo of Satish in which he’s not smiling." Later, Anupam commented, "I think we should give the man a dignified exit and not make these speculations, because he lived a dignified life," in response to some of the questionable rumors about Satish's death. He requires a respectable exit. This puja ought to put an end to all of these rumors today. I'm grateful.
At the prayer meet, Shashi, Satish's wife, and their 10-year-old daughter Vanshika were present. While the rest of the family waved to guests with their hands folded, Anupam was seen holding Vanshika's hand.
The prayer meet was attended by a large number of Satish's colleagues from the film and television industry. In attendance were, among others, Vidya Balan, Jackie Shroff, Pankaj Kapur, Supriya Pathak, Moushumi Chatterjee, Tanvi Azmi, Padmini Kolhapure, Maniesh Paul, and Gulshan Grover. Also present were filmmakers Boney Kapoor, Ramesh Taurani, David Dhawan, Abbas-Mustan, Vivek Agnihotri, and veteran lyricist Jave.
Anupam wrote a touching note to his friend as a final goodbye later that day on his social media platforms. He also posted a video in slow motion of himself giving flowers to Satish in front of his portrait and wrote, "Ja! Tujhe maaf kiya! Akela chhod kar jaane ke liya is mujhe. I'm sure I'll spot you in the laughter of others! However, I'll miss our friendship every day! Greetings, friend! Background mein, my favorite favorite! "Tu bhi kya yaad karega #SatishKaushik #Friend #," as Satish Kaushik puts it.
