According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, Meta Platform's Instagram was down for thousands of users worldwide on Wednesday.
Downdetector, which collects status reports from a variety of sources, including user-submitted errors on its platform, tracks outages by collecting status reports from a number of sources. At the height of the outage, more than 46,000 users in the United States reported issues gaining access to the photo-sharing platform.
Downdetector revealed approximately 2,000 affected UK users and over 1,000 reports from India and Australia, respectively.
