A 6.6-magnitude earthquake occurs close to Kamchatka's east coast



The European Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported on Monday that a magnitude 6.6 earthquake occurred close to the east coast of the Kamchatka region.


According to EMSC, the quake occurred at a depth of 100 km (62.13 miles).


After the earthquake, there was no tsunami warning, according to the US Tsunami Warning System.
