Ajay Devgn's Bholaa, which is a remake of the Tamil movie Kaithi has done more in its 4th day than the previous individual days. The fourth day collections saw more than Rs 14 crores in collections.
If early estimates regarding the film's fourth-day box office run are to be believed, Bholaa, directed by Ajay Devgn, has had a successful weekend. The activity thrill ride, stamped Rs 14 crore on its day four at the ticket counter as per reports. It currently has a staggering total collection of Rs 44.7 crore.
The movie did very well its first weekend, but the real test will be on Monday, when the audience goes back to their normal routine after having fun on the weekends. Bholaa would have done well for itself if it were able to earn somewhere around Rs 10 crore. But the IPL, which started on Friday, might make it less likely that the movie will play on weekdays.
Bholaa has done well compared to this previous films like "Runway 34". This cannot be compared to the recent SRK starrer Paathan which had a more than 50 crores initial day screening.
The official Hindi remake of the Tamil smash, starring Karthi and directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, is Bholaa. In addition to Devgn and Tabu, important roles are played by Deepak Dobriyal, Sanjay Mishra, and others.
The film has received good reviews from most of the papers and critics.
