In her new book, Gauri Khan, the wife of Shah Rukh Khan and designer, shows a glimpse of their Mannat house. The book's foreword was written by SRK.
Gauri Khan, interior designer and wife of superstar Shah Rukh Khan, is well-known for her success in her chosen field. But few people know why or how she got started as a designer.
Gauri said she had never concluded that she would be a fashioner, she generally had an energy towards expressions, however her most memorable occupation as a planner came to her on the grounds that both SRK and her needed more cash to recruit an originator, having put all that they had in their home. She recently shared a never-before-seen family photo on social media of herself, Shah Rukh, and their three children, Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam, to announce her debut book, My Life in Design.
In addition, Shah Rukh wrote the book's foreword, which includes the following line: "I will force her to give me a discounted makeover for my space if by chance she has designed some space better than what she has done for me."
The family resides in Mannat, a sea-facing bungalow that has established itself as a landmark and is frequently visited by tourists and fans. In an interview with Vogue India, Gauri stated that her book will feature several brand-new images of the house: Many people, particularly Shah Rukh's fans, have wondered what lies behind Mannat's gated walls. Since there are a lot of pictures in this book that have never been seen, I would like readers of this coffee table book to contribute by telling me which pieces they enjoy the most.
In the meantime, the celebrity stated, "It's both shocking and endearing to see her awake late at night, working on her iPad to make a delivery on time," adding that it is somewhat surprising to observe his partner working so hard. Mannat was the focus of Gauri's conversation, and she mentioned that the house's "large gates" were one of its most impressive features. She also stated that she desired uniformity throughout the house. Shah Rukh Khan's library, according to Khan, is one of the residence's primary attractions.
When he isn't shooting, Shah Rukh spends most of his day in the library. We have created an atmosphere that is both casual and serious. While praising her sons' rooms, Khan said, "It's warmly lit, has an old-school vibe to the way the library shelves are designed, and is an atmosphere conducive to creativity." She wanted Aryan to have a place where he could write and socialize with his friends. Gauri stated, "He hangs out there with his friends, and the lighting transforms the area into a casual spot to watch movies and play games. But he used to study there, write there, and work there now."
In the interim, AbRam and Suhana have their own spaces that is a mix of what they like and their particular characters.
Gauri has designed houses for Ranbir Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, and Karan Johar's nursery for his two children, Roohi and Yash Johar, in addition to her own bungalow.
