Philadelphia 76ers defeated Brooklyn Nets in the NBA playoffs to take a 3-0 series lead

With their 102-97 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Thursday, the Philadelphia 76ers moved one win closer to sweeping their NBA first-round playoff series. The game was rough, with two ejections and a questionable kick from Joel Embiid.

In the best-of-seven Eastern Conference matchup, the 76ers led by five with 2:15 remaining at Brooklyn's Barclays Center, but the Nets were well aware that no NBA team has ever won a series when trailing by 3-0.

With eight seconds remaining and Philadelphia leading by two, MVP candidate Embiid scored just 14 points but grabbed 10 rebounds and made a crucial block.

As Claxton attempted an alley-oop dunk, Embiid tangled with Claxton after hitting the deck.

Vaughn stated, "I don't think I've ever seen that in my career before." for a man to continue playing while he deliberately kicks someone in an area that none of us want to be kicked in. That has never been seen before."

"We didn't have our stuff, we didn't do a ton of things right," 76ers mentor Doc Streams said. " We just hung in there and won the game despite the fact that a lot of things didn't go our way.

Harden was furious when he was kicked out of the game for what he claimed was a normal basketball play because of a flagrant two-foul foul.
