Today, Microsoft announced that there is no longer a waitlist for the new AI-powered Bing search engine, which is now in open preview. In addition, the company revealed some brand-new features for Bing Chat and enhanced Image Creator's capabilities.
Bing is turning more visual with the introduction of richer, more elaborate answers that will now include charts, graphs, and updated formatting for a better Bing Chat experience. Microsoft claims that this will make it simpler for you to locate the information you require.
A chat history, which users will also be able to share and export, will soon be able to access conversations on Bing Chat. With this feature, users will also be able to go back to previous conversations in Bing Chat.
Lastly, Microsoft is allowing third-party developers to create Bing Chat plugins, similar to the plugins that ChatGPT Plus subscribers enjoy. For instance, the company claims that if you use Bing Chat to look up the latest restaurant for dinner, it will use OpenTable to assist you in finding and making a reservation.
Microsoft is introducing Edge actions as a more adaptable Bing on Edge browser: Actions in Edge will locate and display options in chat in the sidebar if you want to watch a specific movie, and then play the movie from where it is available.
In the meantime, longer-form websites and lengthy PDFs will benefit from enhanced summarization capabilities in Chat in Microsoft Edge.
New features in Image Creator Bing's Image Creator is now available in over 100 languages, making it possible to create images in your native tongue. Additionally, Microsoft disclosed that it is developing a Bing feature that will enable users to upload images and search the web for related content.
