
In New York: On Tuesday, Twitter boss Elon Musk announced the addition of audio and video calls to the platform.
"Coming before long will be voice and video talk from your handle to anybody on this stage," Musk said in a tweet.
"So you can converse with individuals anyplace on the planet without giving them your telephone number."
In a resulting remark shot on Twitter, Musk fought that the WhatsApp informing administration worked by Meta "can't be relied upon."
Twitter's messaging feature would compete with a number of free services like WhatsApp, Telegram, Messenger, and Signal.
Musk added that Twitter will begin encrypting direct messages on the platform on Wednesday in order to protect privacy.
