Wipro invests $1 billion on artificial intelligence


 BENGALURU: On Wednesday, Indian IT services provider Wipro Ltd. said that over the next three years, it would invest $1 billion in artificial intelligence (AI).

The ventures will zero in on the extension of man-made intelligence, enormous information, and examination arrangements, as well as growing new innovative work and stages, it said in a trade documenting.

This comes close to 7 days after rival Goodbye Consultancy Administrations said it intended to prepare 25,000 specialists to get them affirmed on Microsoft's Sky blue Open man-made intelligence.

After ChatGPT, a generative AI chatbot developed by Microsoft-backed OpenAI, took the world by storm in the latter part of 2022, businesses all over the world, from banks to major technology companies, have increased their investments in AI.

In addition, the company announced that it would train all 250,000 of its employees on AI over the next year. Wipro ai360 is its AI-first innovation ecosystem.

"Particularly with the development of generative computer based intelligence, we expect a central shift up ahead, for all enterprises," Wipro Chief Thierry Delaporte said.
