More than ten Russian drones were shot down over Kyiv, according to

 


KYIV, Ukraine: Ukrainian officials announced early on Wednesday that an overnight attack on Kiev resulted in the downing of more than ten Russian drones.


"Gatherings of robots entered Kyiv at the same time from a few bearings. However, "the forces and means of air defense detected and destroyed all air targets"—more than ten unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)—in time, according to Sergiy Popko, head of the Kyiv city military administration.


He said Russia had utilized a flood of Iranian-made Shahed drones, with trash hitting a few regions.



Kyiv's city chairman expressed already on Wednesday that the assault on the capital had caused harm in different areas, including the bustling Solomyansky, which has a global air terminal.


City hall leader Vitali Klitschko said that nobody was killed or injured in the assault.


In Golosiivsky locale, "portions of a robot fell on the jungle gym" and a fire broke out in a non-private structure, the Kyiv city military organization said, adding that crisis administrations were on the scene.


The organization had before given an alarm for drone assaults and cautioned occupants to remain in covers.


An AFP journalist heard something like three blasts in Kyiv at around 3:00 am (0000 GMT).


The regional military administration posted on Telegram that a drone attack had also struck the southern Odesa region on Wednesday, but provided no additional information.


The assaults come a day after Russia said it brought down a rush of Ukrainian robots focusing on Moscow, Crimea and vessels in the Dark Ocean. A high rise in Moscow's monetary locale was struck for the second time in days.


In response to drone attacks across its territory that it has attributed to Kiev, Russia declared on Monday that it would intensify its attacks on the military infrastructure of Ukraine.


Last week, Russia sent off an evening drone assault on Kyiv, with all approaching robots killed.
