Three players from Arunachal Pradesh are absent from the Indian wushu team competing in China for the Asiad

 HANGZHOU: India's three driving female wushu players - all hailing from Arunachal Pradesh-who are essential for the country's Asian Games contingent had to remain back in Delhi even as other colleagues arrived at Hangzhou Thursday morning. The threesome didn't get essential clearances from Chinese specialists to enter the central area, TOI has learnt.

The players, Nyeman Wangsu, Onilu Tega and Mepung Lamgu, were booked to fly out as a component of a 11-part wushu contingent - seven male and four female competitors - on a Cathay Pacific flight Wednesday night from IGI air terminal in New Delhi. "Their clearances have not shown up to enter China. We, at the alliance, couldn't download their certification cards for the Games while the leftover individuals from the group could download theirs with next to no issues.
