However, in accordance with the Government of India's current policy guidelines, any deficit is covered by imports.

The pastor's reaction was to a question by Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MP G Ranjith Reddy, who got some information about the powerlessness of Steel Authority of India Restricted (SAIL) and Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Restricted (RINL) to supply wheels to the Rail routes, prompting the choice to import wheels from China.

Vaishnaw accentuated that the service has gone to lengths to upgrade native limit with respect to wheels in accordance with the necessities of the Indian Rail lines. Vaishnaw also drew attention to the fact that Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) has established a forged wheels plant in Raebareli as part of an off-take agreement with the railways to supply 80,000 forged wheels annually. This plant has been authorized in September 2021.
