Yeonpyeong Island, close to the border with North Korea, is ordered to be evacuated by South Korea

Delhi, India: South Korea on Friday gave a departure request for Yeonpyeong Island, situated close to its boundary with North Korea, as revealed by the Yonhap news organization. This choice follows a paper report showing that the South Korean military intends to recommence live-fire drills nearby.

Yeonpyeong Island, arranged near the line, has confronted relentless dangers from the adjoining North Korea.

In November 2010, it persevered through a shelling occurrence by North Korea, prompting the passings of atleast four people, including two regular citizens and two marines.
