India is expected to extend its 20-year LNG import agreement with Qatar at a reduced cost

India is supposed to ink a multibillion-dollar settlement on Tuesday to keep bringing in 7.5 million tons of LNG every year from Qatar, for a further 20 years past 2028, at not as much as the present expenses. On the sidelines of India Energy Week in Goa, Petronet LNG ltd. will sign the agreement to extend the import contract with Qatar Energy.

The cost will be "altogether" short of what it is presently, as indicated by sources.
